: Black Friday online shopping up more than 7%, poised to set new record

Americans have spent more than $ 7 billion shopping online during Black Friday, snapping up TVs, smart watches, Barbie dolls and more as the big post-Thanksgiving shopping day increasingly moves away from malls.

Online shopping on Black Friday is on track to set a new all-time high, with “record” discounts luring consumers to spend $ 7.3 billion online through 6:30 p.m. Eastern, according to Adobe Analytics, which tracks e-commerce and mobile shopping. That’s up 7.4% year-on-year, it said Friday.
