: American views of China have plummeted in recent years. Here’s what the Chinese think of the U.S.

It’s little secret that American public opinion of China — from the U.S. business community to the general public — has sunk over the last few years. But many don’t know just how bad things have gotten.

Last month, U.S. favorability toward China hit an all-time low, at 15%, according to a poll Gallup has been conducting since the Carter administration. More than 8 out of 10 Americans surveyed view China unfavorably — roughly half of those “very unfavorably.”
