Movers & Shakers: Stocks on the move: C3.ai’s surges but ChargePoint and Zscaler shares dive

Here are some stocks on the move in early trading Friday, as S&P 500 futures move higher and bond yields slip back.

C3.ai Inc. shares AI, +2.80% surged 18% in premarket action after the enterprise artificial intelligence software group delivered well-received results and upbeat forecasts. Wedbush on Friday raised its share price target on C3.ai from $ 13 to $ 24.

The rally comes as futures ES00, +0.28% for the S&P 500 SPX, +0.76% advanced 0.4% ahead of the open, while the yield on the benchmark 10-year Treasury note TMUBMUSD10Y, 4.015% slipped 0.043 percentage points to 4.021%. Read MarketWatch’s live coverage of the stock market today.

Cloud cybersecurity company Zscaler Inc. ZS, +4.43% has forecast a decline in billings and announced layoffs in a statement after the market closed on Thursday. In early Friday trading its stock was down more than 12%. Wedbush has something to say about Zscaler, too, cutting its target to $ 150 from $ 180.

Marvell Technology Inc.’s stock  MRVL, +1.92% was down 8% after the chip company met expectations with results for its latest quarter but blamed inventory corrections for an outlook that came in below the consensus view.

Electric vehicle charging company ChargePoint Holdings Inc. CHPT, +1.62% reported a wider-than-expected quarterly loss after hours on Thursday and its shares slid more than 10% on Friday.

Dell Technologies Inc.’s stock DELL, -0.67% was off more than 3% after reporting late Thursday fourth-quarter and full-year results that beat Wall Street expectations, but with executives issuing a cautious outlook.
