Shares of Info Edge (Naukri) fell 5 percent in intraday trade on BSE on February 16 even as global brokerage firm CLSA maintained ‘outperform’ call on the stock.
As reported by CNBC-TV18, CLSA maintained ‘outperform’ call on Info Edge and raised the target price to Rs 5,740 from Rs 3,580.
“We raise the target to factor in an improved long-term growth outlook. Target raised also due to higher valuation for its stake in Zomato & Policybazaar,” CLSA said.
“The stock is now less about its organic business and more about its stake in Zomato and Policybazaar,” CLSA said.
CLSA pointed out the reported headline financials of the company are below its estimates in Q3 but booking recovery and monetisation of investments are the key drivers.
CLSA believes revenue growth will converge with the expectations over the coming quarters.
Brokerage firm Motilal Oswal Financial Services pointed out that Naukri’s standalone revenue for the December quarter stood at Rs 270 crore, up 6.3 percent QoQ, but down 15 percent YoY, and was a 3 percent miss to its expectation of Rs 280 crore.
PAT fell 23 percent YoY, but rose 37 percent QoQ, to Rs 69.90 crore. This was a 19 percent beat to Motilal Oswal’s estimate, led by higher other income (Rs 31.60 crore versus Motilal Oswal’s estimate of Rs 26.3 crore) and lower ETR (20 percent against Motilal Oswal’s expectation of 25 percent).
Shares of Info Edge traded 4.80 percent down at Rs 5,255 on BSE at 1250 hours.
