Comedian and actress Amy Schumer is selling a seriously swanky penthouse apartment for $ 15 million, according to the Wall Street Journal.
Located on Manhattan’s Upper West Side, the five-bedroom, full-floor unit features 4,500 square feet of interior space and an additional 3,000 square feet of outdoor space over two levels.
The “I Feel Pretty” star reportedly dropped $ 12.1 million for the contemporary unit in 2016. She told the Journal that the condo had been her “Manhattan dream apartment.”
Schumer, 40, and husband Chris Fischer are parents of a toddler and want to live closer to their son’s school, according to the Journal. It’s likely they will be moving to Brooklyn.
“It’s pretty obvious where we are going. If you leave this borough, what borough do people usually move to? It’s not rocket science,” she said.
Garden in the sky
Schumer hired Clements Design to redecorate this light-filled penthouse, according to the Journal. She’d admired the work the agency did on her friend Jennifer Lawrence‘s apartment.
Though very luxe, the digs also feel homey thanks to loads of plants and stacks of books. The listing called the surprisingly green space a “secret garden in the sky.”
Books and plants fill the space.
The top-floor unit in a landmarked Beaux Arts building features bi-fold glass walls that extend the living space to a wraparound terrace with views of the Hudson River, George Washington Bridge, and the city skyline.
Indoor-outdoor space
A key-locked elevator takes you directly to the penthouse level, and the living space is enhanced with a stone and glass fireplace as well as skylights. A media room sits behind sound-proof pocket doors.

The dining room is adjacent to a teal-toned kitchen that’s fit for a chef, complete with a wine fridge, a quartz center island, and a breakfast bar.

A plant-covered staircase leads to another terrace.
The primary suite is housed in a separate wing and features a private terrace, spa bath, and walk-in closet. All the bedrooms are en suite and could be repurposed as a gym, office, or playroom, the listing notes.

Amenities include a private parking place plus a large storage area. The pet-friendly building features a full-time door staff, garage, bike room, and live-in superintendent.
The “Snatched” star had struggled to sell her previous apartment. The nearby one-bedroom, top-floor walk-up with private roof access was initially listed in November 2015 for $ 2,075,000.
It eventually sold for $ 1,625,000 in 2017. Schumer had paid $ 1,695,000 in 2014 for the place.
Now 40, the native New Yorker’s stand-up specials can be found on HBO and Netflix. Schumer also starred in the movie “Trainwreck.”
Most recently, she starred, executive produced, wrote, and directed the Hulu series “Life and Beth.”
