Government expects to auction 60-70 mineral blocks in FY19: Mines Secretary
In a bid to enhance participation in auction of minerals, mines ministry has simplified rules. The change of rules includes relaxation of end use reservation which will now allow miners to utilise the dumps for a value.
The ministry has also simplified the rules for net worth and upfront payment for bidding for the minerals for inclusion of more miners.
Speaking to CNBC-TV18 Mines Secretary, Arun Kumar said that the government expects to auction 60-70 mineral blocks in FY19.
